The interpretation of your astrology chart begins on the following page.

You will find that the interpretation of your chart is written in simple language, uncluttered by astrological jargon. If a statement appears to contradict another statement, then you exhibit these opposite qualities at different times in your life. For example, a statement that you are highly sociable and gregarious and a statement that you prefer solitude seemingly contradict each other; this means that you vacillate, and need both sociability and solitude at different times.

The astrological factor that the interpretation is based on is also given. The astrological factor is given for the benefit of astrologers and students of astrology. If you are not a student of astrology, then obviously the factor will not be meaningful to you, and you can ignore it.

If you find this interpretation of your birth chart interesting and informative, you might want to discuss your birth chart with a professional astrologer to learn more about the astrological influences on your life.

Chapter 1: General Characteristics

Your fundamental needs, values, and orientation towards life are symbolized by the four astrological elements. Each person has their own unique balance of these four basic energies: fire (warmth, inspiration, enthusiasm), earth (practicality, realism, material interests), air (social and intellectual qualities), and water (emotional needs and feelings).

Your "elemental make-up" is described below. Remember that most people are "unbalanced" or lopsided, and if you are lacking or deficient in a certain element (or elements), it simply means that you need to consciously develop that aspect of yourself to learn to appreciate and/or to work harder in that dimension of life.

Sometimes we overvalue the element that we are least endowed with, sensing it as a lack within ourselves, but more often we neglect or ignore it. The qualities described below will be reiterated and explained in more detail in the following chapters.

Your gift lies in your ability to perceive, understand, and communicate about matters of feeling, of heart and soul. You are thus well suited to any field that involves working with people as a counselor or teacher, and even if you are not so trained, others seek you out as an advisor, for you are able to clarify and sensitively discuss their personal concerns and problems. Relationship is really a primary importance to you and is the arena in which your richest and most fulfilling experiences lie. You, even more than most people, require friends and intimates to share your thoughts and your life with.

You also have an active and creative mind and are apt to spend much time reading, thinking or daydreaming, and/or writing (stories, music, lyrics, diaries, letters, etc.). Film or any media combining words with images and emotions also fascinates you.

At times your mind and intellect may seem to be at odds with your instinctive, emotional, feeling side, and it is your task to bring them together. You may spend a lot of time cogitating and mulling over your experiences and feelings, trying to understand and make sense of them.

You are quite sensitive (psychologically and physically) and may avoid direct, active participation in life.

You are likely to be overly humble or unsure of yourself and to look to others for inspiration, motivation, reinforcement, and approval. Tending to be somewhat passive, you must learn how to take initiative and motivate yourself.

A lack of warmth (either physically, emotionally, or both) may be evident in you, which can show itself physically as a low energy level, paleness and lack of color in the skin, or a tendency to be easily chilled, and emotionally as a marked coolness or aloofness with little spiritedness, joyfulness, or enthusiasm for living. Eating warming, spicy foods, living in a warm, sunny place, and using fire in your daily life (lighting candles, using a wood stove or fireplace for heat) can help balance you. Also, spending time with warm, cheerful, positive-minded people and developing a philosophy based on spiritual optimism can stir up your own zest of life.

Positively, you are unlikely to be egocentric and have a capacity for great patience and peacefulness.

Chapter 2: How You Approach Life and How You Appear To Others

The following is a description of your basic stance towards life, the way others see you, the way you come across, the face you show to the world. In Chapter 3 you will read about the "The Inner You: Your Real Motivation", which describes the kind of person you are at heart and where your true priorities lie. Read this chapter and the next one and compare them - there may be significant differences between them, in which case "the inner you" may not shine through and others are in for some surprises when they get to know you at a more than superficial level. This chapter describes the costume you wear, your role in life, while Chapter 3 talks about the real person inside the costume.

You appear gentle and soft, and you act rather reserved with others until you know them well and feel it is safe to be open with them. You have a strong need for emotional security and a sense of belonging, and are deeply attached to the past: your heritage, roots, family, cherished friends, familiar places, etc. Making radical changes or moves away from what is known and safe can be very painful and difficult for you. You tend to cling and hold on to people, memories, possessions of personal or sentimental significance. Having a home, a safe haven, is very important to you.

You approach life emotionally and subjectively and are sensitive to the emotional atmosphere, the subtle undercurrents of feeling in and around you. Instinctive and nonrational, you are often unable to give a clear, simple explanation for your actions. Something FEELS right, or it doesn't.

Your emotions and personal loyalties tend to color your thoughts and opinions. You view life from a very personal perspective and often cannot mentally detach yourself from your own personal bias and prejudices. You are apt to be concerned primarily with how something affects you and those dear and close to you, rather than with the principle or the broader social implications. For instance, you may be very patriotic and feel that whatever "my country" does is right without really knowing much about the other nation's policies or point of view. Put simply: if it is good for me and mine, it is good. If it is not good for me and mine, it is no good.

You are tenaciously loyal, protective, and supportive of those you care about, and have a very strong nurturing, motherly nature (regardless of your gender). You empathize with others and intuitively sense the feelings and needs of other people. Compassionate and sympathetic, you are easily moved by others' pain, and you are often the one others seek out when they need comfort, reassurance, or help.

Your moods fluctuate and change frequently and you are sometimes open, sometimes withdrawn emotionally. You communicate nonverbally and appreciate a person who can pick up subtle cues and hints, rather than having to make everything explicit.

You never forget either kindness or unkindness shown to you.

You appear to be liberal and open-minded. Anything new, innovative, unusual, or off the beaten track arouses your interest. You infuse your environment with enthusiasm, new life and excitement. Though not intentionally disruptive, you do enjoy startling or waking people up a bit.

You have a radiant, winning personality and others see you as a person used to achieving success. Broadminded, you are willing to give others the benefit of the doubt. You are helpful and tolerant as long as your moral and ethical standards are respected.

Chapter 3: The Inner You: Your Real Motivation

You have two conflicting interests that you try to resolve. As described in the previous chapter, you love to nurture and support others, and family is very important to you. However, there is another side to you: at heart you are a very independent person and you need to participate in community affairs and be involved with the world at large. Having a meaningful career and being involved in a larger circle of friends and associates are important to you as well. There are many ways to fulfill both sides of yourself. You may become an advocate for the importance of families' needs, women's and children's issues in the work place and in society in general. Or you may simply bring a personal, supportive, human element into the impersonal atmosphere of business or academia. One negative possibility, however, is that you can become very dogmatic about your own personal concerns and biases, not realizing how many of your social, political, and evens scientific views are rooted in personal experiences rather than objective criteria.

You are a freedom-loving, strong-willed, and independent-minded individual, and you insist upon living your own life as you see fit, even if that means ignoring convention and tradition. In personal relationships you cannot be owned or possessed, and while you are willing to share yourself with another, you do not always adjust easily to the emotional give and take of a close relationship. Though intellectually open, you can be enormously stubborn, opinionated, and inflexible on a one-to-one level. You have strong convictions and feelings about fairness and equality, and you try to live by your ideals, but your ideals about how people SHOULD treat one another don't always take into account human weaknesses, differences, and needs. You probably dislike sentimentality and traditional gender roles and "games".

You are fair, intelligent, objective, rational and often let your head rule rather than your heart. You seem rather self-sufficient and detached emotionally because you are capable of putting aside your personal feelings and viewing things dispassionately. But once you make up your mind on an issue, you are difficult to sway and can be rather dogmatic.

You think in broad terms and are concerned with the world beyond your own personal sphere - your town, nation, or even planet. You are likely to become involved in community affairs, social organizations, and groups of all kinds, or to have a keen interest in such. You enjoy being part of a group endeavor and often find yourself organizing, managing, or supervising group activities.

Forward-looking and progressive, you harbor great hopes for the future. You stay current and up to date, and respond to contemporary cultural trends, both in terms of personal style and in terms of ideas. When young you were very influenced by your peers and by group pressures and by all the "latest crazes". You have an experimental mind and are attracted by the novel.

Your strong points include your concern for human welfare and social betterment, your sense of fairness and democratic spirit, and your vision. Your faults are your stubbornness and inflexibility, and a tendency to be very obtuse and insensitive when it comes to personal feelings and human needs.

World travel, foreign cultures, and studies which expand your intellectual horizons and broaden your understanding of the world are very attractive to you.

You have a philosophical turn of mind and are concerned with seeking answers to the big questions of life or getting the overview of any situation. Abstract concepts and/or plans for the future occupy your mind much of the time.

You are direct, energetic, sometimes aggressive and combative. You often feel that you need to fight to get what you want and you tend to have a "me-first" attitude that angers or irritates others. You are hasty, restless, impatient, and sometimes reckless.

You undergo deep, transformative changes in your life with relative ease and a minimum of conscious resistance. Because you don't avoid the depths, you have access to a lot of personal power and strength. Without realizing it or seeking it, you're apt to have quite a potent effect on the people you come into contact with, even superficially. Others sense that you're a force to be reckoned with.

You have a strong need to be with people whom you are emotionally close to. You are very sensitive to others emotional needs, lending a sympathetic ear to their problems. Peace and harmony in your personal surroundings are very important to you.

Your physique tends to be sensitive and your vitality may be a bit low. You are very impressionable and somewhat unrealistic. Sometimes your idealism could be confused or impractical, and you can be rebellious or else apathetic.

Chapter 4: Mental Interests and Abilities

You are more of a poet than a rational scientist, for your mind does not function in a strictly logical, linear fashion. The language of music, art, or poetry is natural to you, and you are also able to think in highly abstract and symbolic terms. Translating your thoughts and impressions into concrete, everyday language may be difficult for you at times and consequently you may appear less intelligent or at least less quick-witted and verbal than others. This was especially true of you as a child, and you probably daydreamed a good deal also. You are intuitive and are able to sense what others' thoughts and feelings are, even before they say anything to you. You often form an opinion about a person or situation without much factual knowledge of them, and your impressions are usually correct. You can be somewhat absent-minded and you become so immersed in your own thoughts that you overlook things in your immediate, tangible environment. You are extremely open-minded and believe that anything is possible. Intangible or spiritual forces seem just as real to you as anything in the concrete world. Your imagination and your sympathetic understanding of other people are two of your greatest gifts.

You have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and wisdom and for an ever broadening understanding of life. You are the perpetual student and will be involved in higher education, philosophy, or religion. Law, broadcasting, publishing, or the field of communications are also areas that interest you. World travel and studying other cultures are also strong urges of yours.

You have an ongoing interest in learning and expanding your mental horizons. You enjoy traveling, philosophical discussions, and exchanging ideas with those of different experiences and viewpoints. Broad-minded and fair, you are well-suited to law, consulting, diplomatic relations, and also business. You learn quickly, and can pick up on a new idea or concept with relative ease.

An independent and original thinker, you are excited by new ideas, discoveries, and innovations. Your mind functions in an intuitive, nonlinear fashion, and sudden insights and ideas often come to you "out of the blue". You grasp ideas very quickly and often become impatient with those who are slower or more cautious than yourself. You are considered rather eccentric and unusual in your interests by more conservative minds. You do well in an open, unpredictable atmosphere where flexibility and quick responses are needed. You have an aptitude for science, mathematics, electronics, or astrology.

You are willing to grow and gather experience through your contact with others. You give and receive good suggestions or stimulating ideas and tend to cultivate an intense exchange of thoughts. You have a need for social contact and entertainment.

There seems to be a nervous unrest about you and you tend to speak to others with great enthusiasm. Always knowledgeable about the newest information, you appear to be well read. Your discussions with other people are likely to be very exciting.

Chapter 5: Emotions: Moods, Feelings, Romance

Your desire for harmonious relationships and surroundings is so strong that you avoid personal confrontations or any expression of intense, unpleasant emotions. You are an idealist who would like to paint the world in pastel colors, and live in peace and harmony with others at all times. You are able to see points of similarity and unity with people who are vastly different from yourself, and befriend many different types of people. You are a considerate and thoughtful friend, and have a real flair for making others feel accepted and appreciated. Inwardly you are often torn with indecision and are much more at odds with yourself than others would ever guess from your smooth, even disposition.

You have strong attachments to your past, the place where you grew up, your heritage, and family traditions. In fact, you may be unable to step out of the habits and roles you learned as a child. Your tie to your mother is very strong and you also seek mothering and protection from your spouse and other family members as well.

You have conflicting emotional desires and needs which complicate your personal life. You may feel that you cannot depend on your love partner to take care of you or perhaps you cannot decide what you really want in a love relationship: a parent or a lover. If your needs for emotional sustenance and love are not satisfied, overeating (especially sweets) can be a problem for you.

The beauty and harmony of your surroundings has a very powerful effect on your emotions. You are very sensitive and cannot stand to be in an atmosphere where there is discord or dissonance. Gentle, kindhearted, and peace-loving, you will give or sacrifice much in order to avoid a fight and to "make everyone happy".

You are very ambitious and your energy is based on your feelings. You may feel that you have to assert yourself regardless of the risks that may be involved. You could have considerable tension with others and are not likely to compromise.

You are definitely not one to wear your heart on your sleeve. You care very much about others' opinions and crave love and appreciation as much as anyone, but one would never know it from your reserved and seemingly detached appearance. Casual, superficial relationships don't interest you at all. You are cautious and serious about love and really desire a deep, genuine, lasting love. You are old-fashioned about courtship and love, and will remain faithful to your loved one in good times and in bad.

You may be attracted to persons older than yourself, someone who is emotionally mature and reliable and who can provide the security you desire.

You are a very personable, affectionate, loving friend and will always have many people in your life who love and cherish you. You prefer being with others rather than on your own, and you feel very incomplete without a special person in your life to share your love with. Being half of a close, loving couple is very important to you.

You are a peacemaker, the one who adapts, harmonizes, and makes concessions for the sake of the relationship. Your charm and agreeableness makes you very popular.

You love to laugh, celebrate, and enjoy yourself with your companions. Emotionally open and easygoing, you consider just about anyone a friend or potential friend. Your good humor and friendliness make you quite popular and well-liked. At times, you overdo the festivities, but you rarely regret this.

Your feelings are very rich and you have an enormous capacity to express your love. You are very cordial and likely to experience happiness in love. You also may have artistic aspirations or aims and could be very successful in some kind of art work.

Chapter 6: Drive and Ambition: How You Achieve Your Goals

Once you set your mind on a goal, your dedication, determination, and commitment to it are extraordinary. You pursue your ambitions tenaciously and will stubbornly refuse to give up, let go, or be influenced in any way. Like Aesop's tortoise, you labor patiently and steadfastly until you achieve what you want -or until it is clear beyond a shadow of a doubt that all is lost. You are a reliable, consistent, and productive worker, and often shoulder more of the workload than your co-workers, usually without complaint. The nitty-gritty work often falls to you. You prefer a regular routine, with definite hours and clearly defined responsibilities and tasks. In fact, establishing a pattern or routine is very important to your success because once you get started in a certain direction, is easy for you to follow it through to its completion. Getting started is more difficult. You have a lazy, comfort-loving side and there is often a good deal of inertia for you to overcome before you get going. Once you get a momentum going, your energy level is strong and steady.

You are interested in concrete results and solid, practical achievement. You need to have some tangible product or contribution to show for your efforts, and cannot be content with only intangible rewards (such as having a good time, learning, or spiritual enrichment). Material well-being and security is also a large factor in determining what you do. Your stamina and persistence is your great strength but it can also work against you; you can get caught in a rut and refuse to seize new opportunities. You also tend to play it safe, and to limit yourself in that way.

You are a team player and work well in collaboration with others who share your goals, ideals, and intentions. You can coordinate group efforts and inspire people to work toward a shared goal.

Team sports are also a lot of fun for you, and you could be a leader, coach, or director of any group endeavor.

You tend to feel lonely and cut off from people. Feeling defenseless and a lack of initiative, you have a tendency to give up too easily. Because of your inner conflicts, you may have to deal with depression a lot and may acquire a certain fear of the future.

Language, words, communication, networking, clarity of speech or writing, being a messenger or go-between -- these are key features in your career, as well as how you go about achieving your goals and ambitions. "Work smarter, not harder" is your motto.

You may seem to have a magically easy road to success and public recognition. Doors open for you and opportunities abound. You may have more offers than you can follow up on. Mostly this is due to a positive and generous attitude on your part. You ambitions in life may have a spiritual component -- based on a concern for social betterment or humanitarian ideals.

Your career is apt to involve beauty, adornment, the arts, or entertainment. You personal charm and appeal are significant factors in your profession, as well. You are very good at selling and promoting -- whether it is yourself, or your product or company.

Often you feel like you're being pulled in two directions --what you need to do to fulfill your long-range ambitions, and what you actually feel like doing. This may make it difficult for you to be constant and consistent in pursuing goals, career aims, etc.

Relationships with women, trying to satisfy family needs, or other emotional attachments sometimes also conflict. Often you have to decide on one or another at a given time, rather than try to have both.

You always need to have something going on and may restlessly look for new ideas and action. You like change and variety and are likely to change your associations with others frequently.

Chapter 7: Growth and Expansion: Areas That You Enjoy

Your strength lies in your unwillingness to settle for superficiality or shallowness in any area of your life. You are unafraid of going to extremes and experiencing the depths. The mysterious and the unknown are very attractive to you. Your intuitive understanding of others' inner drives and motivations is highly developed also.

You are fun-loving and playful, and you throw yourself into your play with joyous abandon! Whatever your love or enthusiasm of the moment is, you go all out for it. You enjoy sports, recreation, or gambling, and you can be somewhat hedonistic or addicted to having a good time. Your children or your creative pursuits give you much happiness and fulfillment.

You have a need to escape from the demands of everyday life, and reach out to something bigger, more exotic, more exciting. Traveling is good for you. You may also daydream, fantasize, or philosophize a great deal.

Your manner is a bit phlegmatic and you could give the impression that everything is too much for you. You also have an innate inclination to be a little on the heavy side and seem to be content and happy leading a secluded and solitary mode of life.

Chapter 8: Areas That Challenge You Or Are Difficult For You

You are very self-conscious and have a great need for ego-affirmation and praise. Expressing yourself freely, openly, and unself-consciously is not easy for you. You tend to work hard at playing and "having fun", rather than being light-hearted and spontaneous. Developing self-love and self-acceptance regardless of your "performance" is an important task for you.

Your fears revolve around money and material security, and you work very hard to ensure that your assets are solid. You may be very conservative, even stingy, with your money because you are afraid there won't be enough. You may turn this fear around and become very shrewd about investments and financial matters.

You are a bit skeptical, somewhat irritable, and others may think of you as quarrelsome or nagging. Your nervousness seems to stem from your tendency to over-work yourself, and you should try not to make more demands on others than they are able to handle.

Now we will discuss patterns of behavior which you instinctively and habitually revert to when under stress - a mostly unconscious process and one which you are apt to overdo because it is so familiar and thus easy for you. The direction you need to follow in order to develop balance, greater awareness, and wholeness is also described.

Seeking interpersonal harmony, cooperation, and togetherness, and desiring to please or appease other people is very natural for you so much so that you accommodate them at your own expense. When you are under stress, you tend to look outside yourself for approval or answers, and you lean on others too much. Therefore, developing self-reliance, and the courage to look to yourself for your answers and forge your own path through life is a key factor in development.

You are often tempted to be less than completely straightforward about your intentions or desires, and you can become enmeshed in a swamp of "little white lies" and evasions. Radical honesty with yourself and others is the only way out! This, however, leads you to confront some of your most deeply ingrained fears, such as "what if "they" don't like me?" and "what if I have to go it alone?".

Cultivate your ability to be assertive, to take initiative and act on your own behalf. Directness and self-reliance are keys.

The arena you are most likely to wrestle with these issues is in your public life and career. All of these issues will impact your reputation and standing in your community or professional circle, as well as how you achieve your important life goals and aspirations.

Chapter 9: Originality and Imagination
Areas Where You Are Creative, Unique, Unstable, or Compulsive

You are unconventional, even iconoclastic, in your attitude toward religion, philosophy, and politics. You tend to see traditional religion as restrictive, meaningless ritual with little to offer you, and you're eager to experiment with other, alternative pathways. You have lots of creative, innovative ideas and you often feel that others are unwilling to take risks and venture out of their deeply ingrained perspectives and views.

You have a very active imagination and powerful fantasies. You may develop an interest in the supernatural, psychic phenomena, or occult subjects. You may have strange fantasies and/or nebulous fears of "ghosts", "the astral plane", or death. It's better for you not to dabble in such areas unless you are thoroughly grounded in the practical world as well.

You can become obsessed with your health, self-improvement and personal development. The psychological elements of disease interest you, and you may endlessly psychoanalyze yourself and others.

Also, you may work compulsively and exhaust yourself through overwork. You can be a tyrant with co-workers, and it may be easier for you to work in solitude.

You have a restless spirit and could be a revolutionist or rebel. Your total disregard for convention may cause you to be very rebellious, going your own way without regard for what others say or think. You also could be prone to suffer inner conflicts.

You are inclined to be a bit self-willed and could find it difficult to become a united member of your community. At the same time you have a tendency to become upset over the anti-social behavior of others.

You have great imagination, fantasy and inspiration and see everything in your mind in clear pictures. You are thoughtful and have a sympathetic understanding of others. You may have a liking for poetry, fairy-tales and fantastic stories.

Chapter 10: Generational Influences: Your Age Group

In this chapter we will discuss characteristics and traits of your generation. Of course, you may not share all of the characteristics of your generation, but you are greatly affected by the tone that is set by your generation.

The first topic is "The Subconscious and Emotional Drive of Your Age Group". In this section we will describe a deeply felt urge, even compulsion, of your age group. This deeply felt drive comes to the surface with great force and power, and consequently leaves in its wake considerable upheaval and change. The second topic is "The Ideals and Illusions of Your Age Group", that describes the dreams, fantasies, and spiritual aspirations of your age group. The third and last topic is "What is New and Different in Your Age Group", which describes areas in which your age group tends to be innovative, inventive, unusual, and also where it may be unstable and unreliable.

The characteristics described below may affect a group of people for anywhere from a few years to about 30 years. There are one or more different astrological factors described in each of the three sections below.

The Subconscious and Emotional Drive of Your Age Group

You are part of a 12 year group of people who have a strong need to feel free and unfettered. As a group, you are inclined to grandiose plans and you have a great zeal for exploring new opportunities and possibilities. Your age group has lots of zest and enthusiasm and a very enterprising attitude. Religious fanatics and philosophical "nuts" are also commonplace in your age group and many of them are highly successful in influencing others and gaining followers.

Your generation has a deeply rooted sense of the vastness of life and the infinite possibilities that await. Your age group conjures up grand visions for the future and you draw up great schemes and plans. Exploration and travel hold great fascination for your age group, and you are eager to see the next horizon. The next time this astrological influence occurs is in the late 20th century and early 21st century, and these people will forge ahead with tremendous zeal in exploring outer space, and will strive to bring much that seemed like science fiction to become actual fact.

The Ideals and Illusions of Your Age Group

You are part of a 14 year group of people that are progressive and broad-minded in religious philosophy and spiritual attitude. You are not a mystical bunch, but you are not skeptics or cynics of mysticism either. However, you generally do not follow a religious philosophy unless it appeals to your sense of logic and reason. The more ancient and intuitively based religions are of little interest to your age group, and religions undergo much "modernizing" during your lifetime.

Your generation blurs the distinction between science and mysticism; your scientific discoveries are carried on with a spirit of awe and wonder, and the discoveries that are made only serve to increase that sense of awe and wonder. The dry, academic approach to science fades out during your generation.

Science fiction is also popular with your age group. Also popular are abstract artistic styles, which reflect your progressive imagination.

What is New and Different in Your Age Group

You are part of a 7 year group of people who are very creative in the arts, music, literature, and philosophy. Your age group draws upon some new inspirations and has a talent for weaving many seemingly disparate styles into a new, refreshing synthesis. Much of the creative inspiration of your period is very refined and sensitive, and some of the greatest artistic and literary works of your generation will receive full recognition only after many decades have passed. You are a group that is primarily concerned with the quality of your creative endeavor rather than its distribution and marketing.
